about me!

In times of crisis, we turn to artists to make sense of it all.

Hi, I’m Joss Robinson — a filmmaker, editor, and multimedia artist based in Massachusetts. With a BFA in Digital Media & Design from the University of Connecticut and 5+ years of experience, I work across video, graphic design, photography, and sound.

My senior thesis film Becoming has been recognized at multiple festivals, including the Trinity Film Festival, Massachusetts International Film Festival, Screaming Ostrich Film Festival, Lighthouse Lens Film Festival, and the UCTV Film Festival, where it won Best Editing.

Beyond filmmaking, I’ve produced educational media for UConn’s Asian and Asian American Studies Program. As their multimedia specialist, I’ve helped document community events, author visits, and public education initiatives across Connecticut. This work deepened my commitment to using media as a tool for cultural visibility and public scholarship — a focus I continued as project manager and video lead for the UConn Humanities Institute, where I produced and published a series of research fellow interviews that brought complex ideas to wider audiences. Check out my work!
